Blog 101 - To those of you who are new to blogs and blogging, I wanted to give a brief overview of how to use this site. There are authors and followers. Authors are Val and Connie. Followers are all of our wonderful support system that continue to follow Bru's journey through this battle. Authors create posts, followers can read posts and comment on posts that have been created. As a follower you don't have to log in in with an account or sign in to comment. If there is a post that you are interested in commenting on, just click the comment icon below the post itself. Once you have typed your post, you must choose an account just below the text box, choose anonymous! If you are looking for all of the posts to the blog, scroll down the page and look to the right of the screen, every post is listed there by month and day. It's listed chronologically starting newest to oldest. If you want to add pictures, please email me at emtp1124@yahoo.com with a description of the picture and the caption you would like underneath it. Blogging is very similar to Facebook and other social sites, but it doesn't have the ability to post things to the blog like you do people's walls in facebook. If you are having problems viewing the blog, it may be because of settings that you have on your internet browser . You can type the URL into your smart phone browser as well and see the blog pretty well. If you want updates sent to you anytime things are updated, subscribe to the blog by email. This option is at the top of the page on the right hand side of your screen just above the picture of Bruce. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at emtp1124@yahoo.com.

Pictures for All to Enjoy!

Thought I would post some of the pictures that we gathered from so many people for the video collage that played at the Bru-Ha-Ha on Saturday. Enjoy!

Dinner with the Bru-Man

Dan, Maddie and I were on Bru-Man dinner duty last night. We had a good night. Thanks to Chris and Gary for visiting. It was a nice surprise.  We watched a movie after dinner, not sure if Brampa was really up for such a wonderful children's cartoon but we really had wanted to watch Rio.....Dan and I are Angry Birds fanatics and Angry Birds Rio made a whole lot more sense! Had a great night.

I will be posting pictures from the collage video that was shown on Saturday night so that all can enjoy the wonderful pictures that were in that video.  Lots of great memories.

Thanks to all for the wonderful comments on the blog and the party. It was a hit!

Love to All!

What a CELEBRATION!!

Our entire family would like to thank each and every one of you for coming to Bruce's celebration.  It was a very touching evening for all of us, and we sincerely hope for all of you as well!  Thank you so much for helping us to create beautiful memories that we all can cherish the rest of our lives.  It was truly a humbling experience, and one that Bruce enjoyed immensely  A fabulous tribute to an amazing man.  Laughter, tears, smiles, hugs, kisses, and genuine love filled those rooms.   We know it was an evening that began with trepidation, uncertainty, maybe even a little bit of fear, but by the close it had become the most amazing, treasured event :) Here are some photos from the evening (please, if you took photos/video with your camera, forward same to Connie/Di/Val, so we can share them with all).  Enjoy!  Love to you all!!          Bruce and Val

Follow up Dr. visit

Hello to all, wanted to update everyone with the latest from the Dr. He was very impressed with Bruce's improvements since his last visit.
He also told us that the numbness & sometimes distant attention is due to him having siezures :(
We touched base on a follow up MRI and that is scheduled for 03.18.12. That will give us an idea if the tumor has started to regrow or spread to other areas. He cautioned us to remember that with just the glio discs. placed & no chemo & radiation that the average survival rate is 20 weeks and we are at 13 weeks as of now. Let's all keep our fingers crossed & hope for much longer.
We visited the rehab unit after his visit and they were all very happy to see his progress and walking without even his cane! They were all a truly awesome team & always very supportive as we went thru the rehab process.
We are all getting ready for the Celebration of Life get together and compiling photos & videos for the event. We are at a head count of about 130 people so far & looking forward to seeing everyone. If you haven't RSVP'ED as of yet please do so ASAP for our final head count.
Thanks for all of your support, prayers & meal preparations! See you at the celebration! Di

TCI - Middle Caicos

Just thought I needed to update the blog.  These are some more photos from our stay on Middle Caicos.  Sara Kaufman is the other blonde in the photos and her husband Danny Forbes.  They were simply SPECTACULAR to Bruce and I while on the island.  Middle Caicos is stunningly beautiful, yet unspoiled by, well, people!!  Why we so cherish this gem of an island.  Enjoy.  Bruce is home and feeling much better for it.  He is sleeping longer at night and needs a nap each day.  He is starting to have balancing, mobility problems here and there, but still in high spirits and loves to have visitors!  Thanks to Mike/Linda, Mark/Betsy, Taz and Smitty for their visit today.  Bruce and I REALLY enjoyed talking and laughing with you all.  We would love to see each and every person who would like to spend some time with us, so give Di or Connie a call to schedule a visit or email them.  I know their info is somewhere on here, don't know where 'cause I don't need that information (LOL) - Val
